Over 50 portraits of girls and women were taken in Kathmandu, Pradhan and Maharjan to amplify the voices of those who are advocating for themselves or for their communities. The girls, women and nurse midwives photographed for the #WomenAreWatching series are engaged with the Safe Motherhood Network Federation (SMNF/WRA Nepal which successfully advocated for the Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights Act, 2018, a groundbreaking piece of legislation which protects the health and rights of women, girls, adolescents and newborns.
